2011 FESTIVAL OF CLASSICS
As directed by the Long Range Planning Committee, the new format was tested over a three year period of time (2008—2010) prior to any formal consideration to altering the traditional judging event and was designated the Classic Yacht Festival. In 2011, the majority of the membership voted to stay with the Classic Yacht Festival format. The Board of Governors then decided, based on the membership vote, to continue with the Classic Yacht Festival format on a year-to-year basis. The Classic Yacht Festival includes having all attending boats “on display” and open to the public, at
the member’s discretion. Each participating boat will be awarded an attractive memento commemorating attendance at the Festival. Club members will also vote and select a Members’ Choice award in each of the categories.
